COVID 19 - What you need to Know - Jersey Circuit Breaker

The Chief Minister John Le Fondre has announced that there will be a circuit breaker period in Jersey which will commence from 00:01 GMT on Friday the 4th December.

The Chief Minister advised that there had been an increase in the R number to between 1.4 and 1.9 with the highest rate of daily infections being recorded on Wednesday.
Shops will be allowed to remain open but food and hospitality outlets, except takeaways, will have to shut. Indoor sport and fitness classes and gyms must close and the 2m (6.6ft) distancing law is to be brought back into force.

The circuit breaker will run until 4th January, covering the whole of the festive period.
